Web Update Builder is a tool to manage, in a quicker and easier manner, those future tweaks or small changes you may need to make in your website. However, you need to inform your developer in advance, as a few changes are needed in the webpage code to make them WUB compatible. Your programming team has to insert the special HTML tag to the areas that you wish to amend using WUB. This area can contain a simple text or HTML code.

The tags are identified by Dreamweaver, which makes life easier for those developers using this tool. When the programming tasks are over, the changes are managed with the Web Update Client, which can be customized according to your particular needs. Right now, this tool only allows changes to plain text areas from the Web Update Client, though it might support more tags soon. With a bit of smart planning and programming you can also edit the content of tables and other structures.

This concept programming only supports JPG or PNG images so far, so GIF format is still not acceptable. You do not need to be a high-level programmer, though you certainly need to have a basic understanding of HTML tags to implement this feature.
